An ethylene absorber is a device that is used in controlled atmosphere fruit storage to remove ethylene gas from the air in order to slow down the ripening and decay of fruits, vegetables, and other perishable items. When ethylene gas is present in the air, it can accelerate the ripening process and cause fruits and vegetables to spoil more quickly.
